Vigan Hotel Overview
The Aniceto Mansion or also known as RF Aniceto Mansion is located in the heart of Vigan city, Ilocos Sur. It is strategically located near historical landmarks like Plaza Salcedo, Plaza Burgos, Saint Paul's Metropolitan Cathedral, Vigan Cathedral and only a few blocks away is the Vigan Heritage Village. The hotel was an old Spanish house that was restored and then was transformed into an inn. The cozy and welcoming feel makes the hotel more accommodating to guests.
The hotel's lobby and hallways are furnished with antique chairs, tables and decors, and the walls are lined with old photographs that will make you feel like you are back in the Spanish era. It is a decent economy class hotel that provides guests with quality service.
It has twenty-five clean and spacious fully air-conditioned rooms that comes with basic room amenities for guests to experience maximum comfort during their stay. The room's interior is a combination of Ilocano and Spanish designs. The hotel can accommodate both solo travelers and large groups. Bed sizes can vary depending on the option that you picked and the room availability.
All Rooms Provide:
Air-Conditioned Room for 2 - The fully air-conditioned room with the selection of one (1) matrimonial or two (2) single sized beds. The room provides a telephone, coffee maker and a flat-screen cable television. It has a private bathroom.
Air-Conditioned Room for 3 - Bed sizes can either be one (1) matrimonial and one (1) single sized beds or three (3) separated single sized beds. It also has the same room amenities like a flat-screen cable television that guests can enjoy during their leisure time.
Air-Conditioned Room for 4 - This room is perfect for families. The selection between two (2) queen sized beds or four (4) single sized beds. The room offers basic amenities like private bathroom with shower, flat-screen cable television and telephone for guests to freely use.
Air-Conditioned Room for 10 - Large groups can also be accommodated. Guests can choose between two options, five (5) matrimonial sized beds or ten (10) single sized beds. Just like the smaller rooms, it has basic amenities that guests can use.
The concierge service of the hotel includes Wi-Fi access in the lobby and of course 24-hour electricity, back-up generator, security and room service. The hotel also has a function room available for guests to celebrate birthdays or conduct seminars.
Cafe Floresita is located inside the Aniceto Mansion and can be accessed by both hotel guests or any outsiders that wants to taste delicious Ilocano food. They serve American and Filipino breakfast. The inn also serve other variety of food that can be enjoyed by both local and foreign guests.
St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral is located just across RF Aniceto Mansion. It is also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral. It is the main church of Vigan city. The cathedral was re-designed to withstand earthquakes. The bell tower of the Cathedral was built separately, so if ever it was damaged by the earthquake the main cathedral would not be affected. It is also the burial place for Leona Florentino, she is the mother of Philippine women's literature. The sound of the bell tower can be heard during the mornings in the Aniceto Mansion.
Vigan, known for their amazing heritage sites, also is famous for their delicious longganisa. The city celebrates Longganisa festival simultaneously with Vigan City Fiesta. The festivities starts every 25th of January, it is the feast day of St. Paul the Apostle's conversion.
Another festival is the Viva Vigan Festival of Arts. The start of the festival is every first week of the month of May. The festival aims to promote the protection and conservation of the heritage sites found in Vigan. Many activities are happening during this week long festival like street dancing competitions, Santa Cruzan parade, traditional games, beauty pageants and the exciting Amazing Heritage Race.
